Governor Bob Taft recognized EYE Lighting International of 
North America, an Ohio company that has excelled in the export 
arena, and presented them with the Governor's Excellence in
Exporting Award ("E" Award).
 
"Ohio's future is linked to our success in the global marketplace,"
Taft said. "Today we pay tribute to the companies who are the
backbone of Ohio's export success."
 
The Governor's Excellence in Exporting Awards annually recognize
Ohio companies that have increased sales volume through exports,
increase Ohio-based employment as a direct result of export activity, or developed and implemented a strategy to expand their international sales and revenues.
 
Keith T. S. Ward, President and C.O.O., stated, "I am excited about international sales growth with our Ohio 
work force. Our Quality and capability are world-class. We will continue to look for global growth with our 
excellent products and employees."
EYE Lighting International of North America, based in Mentor, Ohio was one of the 30 companies to receive this prestigious award. EYE Lighting is a subsidiary of Iwasaki Electric Co., Ltd. with headquarters in Tokyo Japan.
 
EYE Lighting manufactures and distributes High Intensity Discharge lamps, ballasts, components, and Halogen
lighting products to the North, Central, and South American markets, as well as the Caribbean and Japan.
